The international classification of functioning, disability and health (children & youth version) (ICF-CY) is currently used to describe and measure the extent of children's health problems. This classification makes it possible to unify the determination of the individual profile of the child taking into account environmental and personal factors, to assess changes in health disorders in the process of rehabilitation. The ICF-CY is used for patients with cerebral palsy. The article presents the methodology of the ICF-CY application, describes the problems that complicate the practical application of the classification, and presents a clinical example of the ICF-CY use in the rehabilitation of children with cerebral palsy.
